Student Bursary Award 2022

Letterkenny Credit Union Ltd is committed to serving our members. The aim of this programme is to give financial assistance to students, young and old, who are members of Letterkenny Credit Union Ltd and attending third level education.

The following Terms & Conditions must be read by all applicants:

  1. The bursary is for current/new students who are or will be enrolled, in a full time, third level course, with a 3rd level educational institution in 2022. (The course must be recognised by the Higher Education Authority, with an EQF level 5 or above)
  2. 5 students will be awarded with €1,000 each. Two of the bursaries will be awarded exclusively to members who have taken out student loans between April & September, 2022. Winning members will have the funds lodged to their LKCU account.
  3. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older to enter and a parent/guardian must co-sign the application if the applicant is under 18.
  4. Incomplete application forms will be deemed invalid.
  5. Applicants must submit a completed application form and a 100-word statement on “Why the bursary will benefit my third level journey”.
  6. Entry into the draw is restricted to one entry per member. However, members who draw down student loans or open a MYCU current account in the period, April to September 2022, will receive an additional entry.
  7. Applicants must have a Share or MYCU Current Account balance of at least €10 for a 1-month period, prior to the awarding of the bursary.
  8. Winners will be determined by a draw, which will take place in early September. Winners will be selected at random by an independent adjudicator. Successful applicants will be notified following the draw.
  9. A letter of acceptance evidencing enrollment into the course will be required before the bursary is paid.
  10. Letterkenny Credit Unions board of directors has exclusive and entire responsibility for all matters relating to the Bursary Award. The Board of Letterkenny Credit Union reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions or end the Bursary program, at any time, at their discretion
  11. The closing date for submission of completed applications is by 4pm on 30th September 2022.
